ART GIRLS by Robert Bramkamp is a romantic science fiction film set in Hamburg and Berlin in the netherworld between science and art. Starring Inga Busch Peter Lohmeyer, Megan Gay and Jana Schulz and feature artworks by Susanne Weirich, Paul McCarthy, Martin Kippenberger, Joseph Beuys et al. What's reality and what's art? What happens when the tables are turned, and art no longer imitates nature but things go the other way round? ART GIRLS by Robert Bramkamp asks just these questions, as a satire of the art world in a science fiction format - or is it the other way around? Three Berlin artists, Nikita Neufeld (Inga Busch), Una Queens (Megan Gay) and Fiona da Vinci (Jana Schulz) have been commissioned to present works at the "Art Gate" exhibition, sponsored by the biotech corporation Morphocraft and headed by the Maturana brothers (Peter Lohmeyer in a double role).
