Batman's son, Damian, who has been fighting crime in Robin's persona, finds out that his father is missing. Nightwing has been disguising himself as Batman in order to keep up appearances. As the duo investigates Bruce Wayne's disappearance, even Alfred goes undercover to assist them. It's not long before they all become involved with the mysterious Batwoman, who may have been the last person to see Batman alive.
