Combat Girls

This gritty, violent, teen coming-of-age drama focuses on two girls who become obsessed with the Neo-Nazi youth movement. Twenty year-old Marisa is a hardcore Neo-Nazi believer, a semi-skinhead who's been in the movement for years and whose body is covered with Nazi tattoos; and fourteen year-old Svenja, a sheltered but spoiled, A+ student who only becomes interested with the group because of her neo-Nazi boyfriend. They start as attention-seeking adversaries but slowly become best friends, even though their loyalty is challenged when Marisa decides she wants to leave the movement behind. Similar to "American History X" and "Romper Stomper," "Combat Girls" is a prime example of dynamic and powerful filmmaking.
