Far Away From You, Darling
Available on iTunes
In this romantic comedy taking place at the beginning of WW2, two sisters going on in age are working in a munition factory while dreaming of only one thing: marriage. As the Canadian government passes a law to draft all single men past a certain date, there is a huge rush for couples to marry and marry fast. That comes just at the right moment for Florence, the older sister, who is rushed to the altar by a reluctant but faint-hearted lover. The younger Rita marries a young soldier who has volunteered and whose life will be turned upside down by the Quebec Conference when D-Day was set, in 1943.
