Girl Crazy

Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney star in George and Ira Gershwin's blockbuster Broadway musical about the beautiful daughter of the dean of a struggling western mining school—and the spoiled rich mining student who's Girl Crazy. Danny Churchill, Jr. (Rooney—The Black Stallion, The Human Comedy), scion of an Eastern business tycoon, is sent to a mining school out West—far from the nearest female—in the hopes that he will grow out of his wastrel ways. But the first things that young master Churchill spies upon his arrival are the shapely gams of the Dean's daughter, Ginger Gray (Garland—The Wizard of Oz, A Star is Born). Now, Churchill has found a motivation to study … and to help the school out of its desperate situation.
