Hostile Waters

Soviet captain Igor Britanov edges his K-219 nuclear sub silently into the hostile waters of the Western Atlantic. Little does he suspect that this will be his final voyage. Just days before the Reykjavik Summit in October 1986, Britanov's ship collides with an American submarine, beginning the countdown to a nuclear disaster that could devastate the entire seaboard of the United States. Hostile Waters is inspired by this previously untold true story, drawn from the official Soviet investigation, the ship's logs and descriptions from participants who were on land and at sea.
