Kinderfanger
When a Deaf teacher for hearing impaired children named Olivia notices her favorite student Marcus is missing, She decides to go searching for him. In her search she encounters the Kinderfänger, a mythical creature who kidnaps and takes control of children as his army. As Olivia searches for answers, her search drags her deeper into danger and she realizes she’s not the only one hunting the Kinderfänger. She meets a strange man named Wallace who has a mythical explanation for the Kinderfänger but Olivia has trouble believing him. Later Olivia’s best friend goes missing so she realizes she needs to double her search for Marcus while also dealing with a dark past that keeps her from her goal. Wallace finds out a way to save Marcus but is unknowingly walking into a trap so Olivia has to save him but is held back by her traumatic past. When it feels like they’re close to finding Marcus and saving the children, The Kinderfänger arrives and shatters their chances. Now feeling despondent and hopeless, Olivia finally stands up to her mother, and commits to saving Marcus and the other children. The Kinderfänger plays a song that attracts the children a lot like the legend of the Pied Piper, so Olivia and Wallace create a plan to follow the mind controlled children back to the piper’s lair. Olivia and Wallace put their plan into action, but in their search for the lair they find themselves trapped in a maze of tunnels that lead to the lair with the child army hunting them. To save Marcus, Olivia prepares to sacrifice herself despite being unsure that she can break the Piper’s spell on the children. After defeating the Kinderfänger, injuring herself, and becoming infected in the process, Olivia returns home and confronts her mother for not having protected her. In their confrontation Olivia kills her mother. With her rage at an all time high and the infection taking over inside of her, Olivia becomes the new host for the evil spirit and takes the role of the new Kinderfänger.
