The Nightingale and the Bells
Gerard Barbeau was a popular boy soprano in Canada in the mid fifties. Gerard began singing at the age of 6 years. At eleven years old he had mastered many of the works for boy soprano and he went on tour in France, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, Switzerland and the Vatican. At 14 years of age, Gerard Barbeau played the lead role in the film 'Le Rossignol et les cloches' (The nightingale and the bells) a musical expressly produced for him.
