The Rape of a Sweet Young Girl
Julia Lachapelle is a young technical designer who leads a carefree life, easily giving herself to men. One day, complaining about the monotony of her life, she finds herself pregnant, but without knowing from whom. After considering abortion at three months of pregnancy, she moves in with a Jewish Moroccan intellectual, newly settled in Montreal. A month later, her lover has left her and her three brothers land at her house, determined to avenge their family's honour which they deem flouted by this pregnancy only a rapist could be guilty of. Julia accompanies them on their punitive mission.
