An orphaned girl has had enough of the convent. She makes a dramatic departure, throws off the shackles of her upbringing and becomes a topless dancer and then a prostitute. In the end, she finds love and returns to the straight and narrow path. A turning point in the history of Québec cinema because of its portrayal of female nudity.
