Burkhard Driest

Burkhard Driest was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Driest began his acting career with roles in such films as the Jurgen Prochnow drama "Die Verrohung des Franz Blum" (1974), the James Coburn action picture "Cross of Iron" (1977) and "Stroszek" (1977) with Bruno Stroszek. He also appeared in "Was Ich Bin, Sind Meine Filme" (1978). His film career continued throughout the eighties in productions like "Querelle" (1982) with Brad Davis, "Die Wilden Fuenfziger" (1983) with Juraj Kurkura and "Der Havarist" (1984). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Kalt In Kolumbien" (1985), "Taxi Nach Kairo" (1987) and the thriller sequel "Den Demokratiske terroristen" (1992) with Stellan Skarsgård. He also appeared in the crime drama "I Love You Baby" (2000) with Mark Keller. Driest most recently acted in the Jan Josef Liefers horror movie "Sieben Monde" (2000).
