DJ Burnt Bannock

Following an unfortunate event, Kevin gets fired from his teaching gig at the Friendship Centre. Luckily, his cousin offers him a job at their Kookum’s restaurant. A chance encounter with a frenemy from Kevin’s past leads to a life-changing DJ gig.

Kevin is in dire need of social media followers and decides to make a music video with Allan. When things take an unfortunate turn, the duo is arrested and must get out of jail before the police officer calls their Kookum.

The boys find themselves at a loss when Allan's car gets stolen along with all their DJ equipment. Wesley offers Kevin a gig in exchange for replacement DJ gear. Kevin is down until he learns that it’s Banana Shake Wednesday and he’s the main attraction.

Kevin is Kookum’s date for a special dinner with the mayor to celebrate her business achievements. When they arrive, Kookum is the only guest and the pair soon realize the mayor may have tricked her into attending a romantic evening with him.

On the day of his big DJ gig, Kevin must face the insecurities that have plagued him since childhood to put on the show of a lifetime. Allan begins to chart his own path, leaving Kevin out of his vision for the future.

Alice asks Kevin and Allan to do a presentation for the youth at the Friendship Centre’s career day. Kevin stops to drop off some new music at the Indigenous-run radio station. Beaming with confidence, Kevin takes a risk with a life-changing decision.
