Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies

We follow four outcasts on their first day of junior year at Rydell High. There’s Jane, a brainiac good student who wants to run for student council but is fighting tawdry rumors about her; Olivia, who is still fighting off a scandal from last year; Cynthia, who just wants to be one of the boys; and Nancy, a fashion maven who is growing apart from her childhood friends. The four unlikely friends will shake up the social order of Rydell High.

Moral panic sweeps through Rydell when Jane and her new friends are labeled a “girl gang.” Nancy embraces the image and pitches name and jacket ideas for their group. Cynthia has a difficult time adjusting to hanging around with girls after being a fifth wheel to the T-Birds for so long. Olivia discovers unsettling information about her past. In an attempt to clear her name, Jane tries to find out if Buddy is really the good guy everyone thinks he is.

As the election for the student body presidency approaches, the Pink Ladies find ways to compete against Buddy’s well-funded Soc campaign machine and Susan. New girl Hazel starts her first day at Rydell and tries to stay impartial… and invisible. Jane's family considers joining an old Rydell establishment while Jane struggles with what kind of campaign to run and who she is. Things escalate when her beliefs are put to the test on the local news.

Assistant Principal McGee is determined to squash any brewing rebellion at Rydell and when the Pink Ladies are relentlessly blamed for a scandal, Olivia joins the school newspaper to set the record straight. Buddy and Hazel try a new hobby while Jane, worn out from the uphill battle of her campaign, feels drawn to Richie and the idea of giving up. Meanwhile, Cynthia becomes the new queen bee of an unexpected high school clique… and Nancy makes an unlikely transformation into a Rydell celebrity.

On Halloween, a last-minute move by Buddy threatens to blow up Jane's campaign. Desperate to win, she tries to put out the fire, but the more she focuses on the election, the more it threatens her budding relationship with Richie. Meanwhile, Olivia finds an unexpected romance, only to be upended when she has a run-in with someone from her past. Cynthia has a surprising moment with her nemesis, while Nancy discovers she has a secret admirer at Rydell and enlists Potato's help to find him.

With the election over, Cynthia questions whether the Pink Ladies’ relationship will be the same as she rehearses for the play. As the girls consider who they are without each other, they make unexpected connections. Nancy struggles to delegate her vision to Hazel while making costumes for the play. Jane and Susan, at the peak of their frustrations with one another, are forced to take drivers ed together. And Olivia must ask for Mr. Daniels help to do an investigation for the newspaper.
