55 candidates arrive at the Tactical Intervention Group selection camp. The first tests are demanding not only physically, with an exercise course that lasts more than 4 hours, but also mentally, with successive scenarios that destabilize the applicants.
Candidates are pushed to their limits physically and mentally. They must pass three challenges: the pool test; the gas chamber, which places them in a situation of instant suffocation; and the obstacle course, which requires candidates to surpass themselves despite the fatigue of the day.
After many withdrawals, the remaining candidates must maintain their concentration, because the day promises to be long. From daybreak, they must run in the icy river and wield weapons on a shooting range. Then, they make a terribly challenging course which will get the better of certain candidates.
The end of the first week is approaching, and the candidates seem exhausted. The candidates face observation, search, and decision-making tests. The end of the camp also means that, for some, the dream of integrating the elite unit of the Sûreté du Québec stops there.
Returning after a short rest is not easy. The second week promises to be even more challenging for the remaining candidates. The lack of sleep worsens and the challenges become more and more difficult both mentally and physically. A brutal awakening will shake several candidates.
The last moments of the camp are very difficult for the candidates. The eliminations determine the following: the instructors are uncompromising towards future recruits who will be part of the tactical intervention group.
