The School That Tried to End Racism

In the first episode, the students are tested for racial bias and split into different work groups according to their skin colour. A white British student and his black-Caribbean best friend are shocked to discover the level of unconscious bias they carry. Whilst a 12 year old bi-racial girl is keen to find what racial group she belongs in: white or black?

In the second instalment, the students explore the notion of White Privilege. A 12 year old white British student is shocked to hear her black classmates’ experiences of racism, whilst an 11 year old girl is keen to create an Asian and bi-racial work group. At the end of the episode, all the students are tested to see if the racial bias has changed.
