Think a room renovation is enough of a gift for the homeowners? It's not. During the 72-hour period that the crew -- which often includes the owner's friends among the group of volunteers -- is working on the home, the residents are sent off on a surprise weekend getaway and, upon returning home, are treated to a new room that is intended to enhance everyday life through beauty, function and design.
