MUD, SWEAT AND TEARS: PREMIERSHIP RUGBY is a documentary series that follows the top four clubs playing in the English professional rugby union competition known as the Gallagher Premiership during the 2022-2023 season. Cameras go behind the scenes as players and coaches from the Sale Sharks, Leicester Tigers, Northampton Saints, and Saracens prepare for the Premiership playoffs and (hopefully) the Rugby Cup final. Interviews with players like Lewis Ludlum and Ben Earl, and club directors like Alex Sanderson, offer insights about the clubs, their roles in it, and the challenges they have faced over the years in the sport. Some of their family members also share their thoughts. Meanwhile, archived match footage is featured throughout.
