1998, Seoul. Widower Myongeun, who works at Jongno Precinct, has been taking care of his son Gunyong and daughter Sooyoung for the past 5 years alone. With the Olympics 2 days away, Myongeun witnesses the demolition of a shantytown and tries to stop it.

Myongeun witnessed the building that held Gunyong's kindergarten collapse. As soon as the Olympics' opening ceremony is announced, Myongeun finds his son whose body has gone cold.

Due to the scandal reported in "Friday Seoul," Juran is banned from her drama. Myongeun, who goes to Taeha's house, runs away with Eunjoong whom he meets outside.

Taeha, Hwayoung, and Myongeun confirm the voice analysis results. Freed from suspicion, Myongeun returns while Taeha is frustrated. Taeha resents Hwayoung for hiding his son for 5 years, saying she might as well have been the kidnapper's accomplice.

Hwayoung knows Manbok isn't Eunjoong, but uses him as a means of revenge against Juran and Taeha. Myongeun, who happens to meet Taeha at the construction site, decides to return Eunjoong from whence he came.

Trying to block faulty construction, Myongeun gives Kichan, Ami's fiancé, a USB drive containing an illegal slush fund list and tells him to go find Chairman Taeha Jang.
