The Investiture of the Gods

Jiang Zi Ya (Sammul Chan), a military strategist mentored by the primeval lord of Heaven, faces a treacherous challenge when his apprentice Shen Gong Bao (Zhang Ming Ming) steals his magical Seven Color Stone. The stone can repair a hole in Heaven, making it a powerful artifact sought by multiple factions. When the tyrannical King Wu of Zhou angers the goddess Nuwa, three evil spirits are sent to shadow the stone's carrier. A fox spirit transforms into Daji (Viann Zhang) to seduce and manipulate the king, creating chaos in the kingdom. As Gong Bao allies with King Wu of Zhou, Zi Ya must confront his former apprentice in an ultimate battle to reclaim the stone and protect the heavens from impending doom. This is a 2014 Chinese historical fantasy series based on the classic novel "Fengshen Yanyi" and directed by Wang Wei Ting and Yang Jian Wu.
