Matthew Humphreys
North Carolina native Matthew Humphreys discovered his passion for acting in high school, when he quit the swim team to focus on his craft in school productions. And when college came around, Humphreys was dedicated, studying at the London Academy of Dramatic Art, Emerson College, and the Yale School of Drama. In 2003, he made his official acting debut with a side role on an episode of the long-running soap "All My Children." While appearing on a hugely popular TV show is certainly not a bad way to get one's start, Humphreys wouldn't capitalize on that exposure for another three years, when he finally landed another guest role--this time on a single episode of the crime-mystery series "Numb3rs." That same year, he also made his first baby steps into the world of motion pictures, appearing with a brief role in the Robert De Niro-directed thriller "The Good Shepherd." Humphreys found a side role in the controversial crime-drama "Chapter 27," which focused on the disturbed psyche of Mark David Chapman, the killer of Beatles legend John Lennon. But most of the actor's quality work in the 2000s came on the small screen, including one-off roles on shows like the horror-fantasy "Supernatural" and the crime drama "Burn Notice."
