Michael Harrison

A protégé of minimalist godfather La Monte Young, this conservatory-trained pianist and composer successfully mixes classical, jazz, and ethnic influences into his music. Harrison also works extensively with alternate tuning systems and invented what he calls the "harmonic piano."
