Kurt Dragontooth is at the mansion filming a documentary about his career; he performs a trick, and Thunder disappears; the children discover that it was a trap to distract them, so Kurt can steal the Book of the Impossible.

Inspector Phyllis is going to monitor Presto; Lisa's latest technological touches for Nica's stunt damage the stage; Daniel is excited: when the inspector sees the scenario, Presto will close, and he will finally be able to sell the mansion.

Violet and Lisa grow vegetables in the garden as a break of magical competition; when Lisa's vegetables do not grow as well as Violet's, Lisa uses several magical techniques to make her harvest look incredible.

Emily breaks her leg, and Presto must find a substitute teacher; much to the students' surprise, Lorenzo hires Kurt Dragontooth; Lisa, Dylan, Nica and Violet fear that his replacement is not there out of the goodness of his heart.

Vincent convinces his parents to buy Presto's mansion, but then finds out that they want to shut down the magic school; he must work with the other students to save Presto.

After creating the 'Magic & Animals' section on their website, Vincent and Violet set themselves a unique challenge: who can pull off a better magic trick and pets using the other's pet as an assistant.
