Antoine Chappey

Some actors skyrocket to stardom; others toil for years in obscurity, paying their dues the old-fashioned way. French actor Antoine Chappey's career trajectory falls in the latter category: His earliest parts, almost exclusively in French projects, were quite small--a typical example would be the role "Hippie #2" in the 1997 comedy "Shooting Stars." But Chappey's prolificity was as strong as his determination, and in 1999 he earned his breakout role in the love-triangle period piece "The Letter." Building on that success throughout the following decade, he earned major roles in the small-town drama "Nelly" and the vibrant crime-drama "The Young Lieutenant."
