Jessica Rains

Jessica Rains was a prolific actress who created a name for herself largely on the big screen. Rains had an early acting career in film, appearing in such titles as the comedic drama "Kotch" (1971) with Walter Matthau, the comedy "Stand Up and Be Counted" (1972) with Jacqueline Bisset and the Richard Benjamin dramedy "Portnoy's Complaint" (1972). She also appeared in "Sleeper" (1973) with Woody Allen. She additionally landed roles in the TV movies "Class of '63" (ABC, 1972-73) and "Shirts/Skins" (ABC, 1973-74). She continued to work steadily in film throughout the seventies and the eighties, appearing in the drama "Islands in the Stream" (1977) with George C Scott, the musical "Little Miss Marker" (1980) with Walter Matthau and the George Burns comedy sequel "Oh, God! Book II" (1980). Her work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Sarah T. -- Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic" (NBC, 1974-75). Most recently, Rains produced the dramatic comedy "The Last Man" (2002) with David Arnott.
