John J. Clayton

John Clayton was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Clayton began his acting career with roles in such films as the Ben Murphy drama "Sidecar Racers" (1975), the Joseph Bottoms adventure "High Rolling" (1977) and "The Irishman" (1978). He also appeared in "Palm Beach" (1979) with Nat Young, "Newsfront" (1979) with John Dease and "Dawn!" (1979). His film career continued throughout the eighties in productions like "With Prejudice" (1983), "Midnite Spares" (1983) and the drama "Man of Letters" (1985) with Warren Mitchell. He also appeared in the Michele Fawdon comedy "Unfinished Business" (1986). During the latter half of his career, he tackled roles in "Warm Nights on a Slow Moving Train" (1989), the Arthur Dignam drama "The Everlasting Secret Family" (1989) and "Cappuccino" (1989). He also appeared in the thrilling mystery "Strangers" (1991) with James Healey and the action flick "Police Rescue" (1993) with Gary Sweet. Most recently, Clayton acted in "Subterano" (2003) with Alex Dimitriades.
