While investigating a murder Campion (Peter Davison) and his servant Lugg (Brian Glover) discover a dead pig has taken the place of a corpse.

Campion works to solve the death of the artist, while two more deaths are reported.

While at "Show Sunday," a commercial artist is murdered and suspicion falls on Belle's granddaughter, who Campion thinks is innocent.

Following another murder, Campion suspects the deaths may have been designed as a cover up for fraud and swapped paintings.

Campion dons a disguise when he returns to Pontisbright to draw Savanake into showing his hand. Lysette Anthony guest stars.
