Unterleuten is the name of a village in the Brandenburg province, near Berlin, in the former GDR. Here, they live together, 30 years after German reunification: the winners and the losers of the turnaround. Friends, enemies, neighbors, and a secret from the past. And then there are those from the West, driven here by the dream of managing their own horse farm, environmental protection, and a rare bird species. They want to leave Berlin for the idyllic province. But then, the mayor plays the wind energy card. After the wind power company "Vento Direct" presents its plan and an investor from Bavaria shows up, intending to deprive the residents of their land for a second time, no stone is left unturned in Unterleuten, and in the end, everyone seems to be fighting each other.
