Bjørn Urdal has been unemployed following a corruption scandal a few years ago. When the Norwegian arms manufacturer AGR gets in touch about a job, Bjørn is tempted to say yes. With his family's support, Bjørn will move into an industry that negotiates life and death.

When two aid workers are kidnapped in Mali, Bjørn is assigned new responsibilities at AGR and must travel to Spain to speed up the agreement with the French. In Spain, Bjørn becomes uneasy when it occurs to him what AGR actually wants him to sell. At the same time, the French forces in Mali are fighting an intense battle against the clock to rescue the two hostages.

In Mali, the two hostages are in mortal danger, and it is urgent for the French to get the agreement with AGR in place. As the sale is to be carried out, Bjørn discovers to his dismay that the agreement has been changed. As the newly appointed head of sales for AGR, he is forced to make a difficult choice.

Bjørn is in distressed when he returns home from Mali and learns that the operation is presented as a success by AGR. He wants to tell the truth about what happened, but he soon finds out that Birk's problems are connected to his previous corruption conviction, he is unsure whether the family can withstand another scandal.

Bjørn suspects that AGR is behind the death of the Norwegian hostage in Mali. He confronts Ole about the suspicion but is clearly told to leave the matter alone. As long as he is loyal to AGR, everything will be fine. Nevertheless, Bjørn decides to go against AGR and sabotage the agreement with the French so that the drone will not be allowed to do more damage.

After Bjørn's unsuccessful attempt to stop the sale of the AMMO drone to the French army, he is once again without a job. As a last desperate attempt, he contacts the Norwegian authorities to tell what has been going on behind their backs. He chooses to sacrifice himself to obtain decisive evidence against AGR.
