Keiichi accompanies Rena to the dam construction site where he runs into Jiro Tomitake, a wildlife photographer, who tells him about the site's grisly history.
An older Rika wakes up in the Sea of Fragments, where she vows to change the future; Keiichi and friends attend the Watanagashi festival and watch Rika perform a ceremonial dance.
Keiichi is questioned by Detective Ōishi the day after Watanagashi and learns that Tomitake and Takano disappeared during the festival.
Keiichi is home alone when Rena shows up uninvited to cook him dinner; despite his suspicious, he tries to heed Rika's advice and trust Rena, but he can sense something isn't right.
In another timeline a few weeks prior to the festival, Keiichi and friends attend a game tournament; Keiichi is surprised to meet Shion for the first time, and he thinks it's actually Mion pretending to be a twin.
Keichi and the gang play a variety of games at the local shop; later, Keichi meets someone surprising at a maid cafe.
