Jonathan Adler

American potter, interior designer and author Jonathan Adler grew up in Bridgerton, New Jersey. His interest in pottery started when he was just 12 years old at summer camp, and was honed during his time in Brown University, where he studied semiotics and art history. His designs reflected his interest in pop culture, hip hop, art and fashion. Adler founded his own company in 1993, becoming a full-time production potter, and gradually branched out into interior design by also designing pillows, throws and rugs. He went on to be a judge in several designed-related reality competitions, such as "Top Design" (Bravo, 2007-08) and "Design Star: Next Gen" (HGTV, 2021).
