Based on the story of Gertrude Lintz, the 1920s socialite and animal lover who has filled her estate with exotic creatures, then one day finds an infant gorilla, who she also adopts. When he grows up, she is lucky he still obeys her commands, as his strength is enormous, until she takes him to the Chicago World Fair, where everything starts to go wrong.
