Marieta Severo

Marieta Severo was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Severo began her acting career appearing in various films, such as the foreign "Certas Palavras Com Chico Buarque" (1980) with Chico Buarque, "Com Licenca, eu vou a Luta" (1986) and "O Homen da Capa Preta" (1986). She also appeared in the biopic drama "Sonho Sem Fim" (1986) with Carlos Alberto Riccelli, the drama "Leila Diniz" (1987) with Louise Cardoso and "Faca de Dois Gumes" (1989). She continued to work steadily in film throughout the eighties and the nineties, appearing in "Sonhos de Menina Moca" (1989), "O Corpo" (1992) and "Carlota Joaquina, Princess of Brazil" (1995). She also appeared in the Claudia Abreu historical feature "Guerra de Canudos" (1997) and the dramatic adaptation "A Fit of Rage" (1999) with Alexandre Borges. Recently, she tackled roles in the Antonio Fagundes biopic "Villa-Lobos: Uma Vida de Paixao" (2000), "The Three Marias" (2003) and "A Dona da História" (2004). She also appeared in the Caco Ciocler foreign "Quase Dois Irmaos" (2005) and "A Grande Familia: O Filme" (2007). Severo most recently acted in the drama "Pequenas Histórias" (2008) with Gero Camilo.
