1971, Woogonga, south coast of NSW. A group of surfers chase their sun-soaked dreams, but best mates Trotter and Snapper soon become bitter rivals as competing surf brands are born.

It's now several months since the wedding. As Snapper preps the inaugural Bare Feet Classic, Trotter, with Dani in tow, hits the road to sell LightWave board shorts up north and pay back his debt.

Reg is released from prison but a surf trip with Snapper to Bali takes a dangerous turn. Buddy and Hunter party in California and Hunter finally has to pay the price of lying to his parents.
