Directing intern Alessandro begins his first day on the set of the TV series 'The Eyes of the Heart 2'. However, he soon realises that the world of show business is not all sunshine and roses.

On the second day of shooting, Alessandro begins to feel like he's treated like a slave. Only the talented actor Orlando Serpentieri seems to treat him kindly and asks him to help him understand the plot of the script.

The actor playing the doped cyclist turns out to be completely unfit for the part and has to be replaced. Sergio looks for an excuse to finally fire the assistant cameraman Furio.

René plans on impressing Joachim Pané, a director friend accustomed to working with big names on the American scene. Unfortunately, the ineptitude of the actors and the attitude of his host completely hinder his project.

The TV network wants to add a comic twist to the series with the intention of improving its fortunes. Actor Nando Martellone is therefore called onto the set, but the result does not entirely convince René.

In order to convince Corinna to shoot a passionate scene, René proposes to be inspired by Lars von Trier. Meanwhile, a fan of the series is invited to the set, but manages to attract the dislike of the entire cast.
