The Opening Move

T1 E2: Taiga (Kentaro Ito) asks Tae (Yuki Kashiwagi) to be friends with him. After living a life without getting involved with others, he is slowly starting to change. Tae invites Taiga to lunch as thanks for looking after Sanae (Mao) while she was drunk. He learns that Tae is a professional shogi player just like Sanae. Furthermore, she is an incredibly popular star in the shogi world! Taiga is overwhelmed by the fact that his first love’s stature is so much greater than his. Tae tells him that she’ll do anything he wants as a thank-you gesture. Will she really do anything he wants?
