Lucía, a young aid worker, travels to Libya to help an NGO in a very dangerous area. After getting off to a bad start with Andy, the demanding head of the project, and also with Hayzam, an attractive and mysterious Libyan driver, everything gets worse when she decides to go after a girl who has stolen some medicines. Meanwhile, Julia, an undercover CNI agent posing as an aid worker, is investigating a trafficker named The Falcon who is trying to sell Spanish weapons.

Displeased by Lucía’s lack of discipline, Andy decides to send her back to Spain and puts Hayzam in charge of driving her to the airport. However, the trip there will become a whole adventure that confirms the mutual attraction that exists between them. Parallel to the beginning of their romance, the CNI closes in on The Falcon.

After Andy grants her a second chance, Lucía becomes the life and soul of the hospital, striking up a deep friendship with Fathia, a Libyan nurse who got pregnant by a man whose identity she hides. Meanwhile, as Lucía’s affair with Hayzam reaches its climax, the CNI learns who the arms trafficker is and sets out to arrest him.

Her father's unexpected disease forces Lucía to return to Spain, where she faces a dilemma: taking care of her toxic family or going back to the place where she feels at home.

After the jihadist bombing of a hospital, it seems impossible to find survivors among the debris, but neither Hayzan nor Andy can't accept having lost Lucía.

Two years have passed since Lucía and Ismail, Fathia’s son, arrived in Spain after fleeing Libya. Convinced that Hayzam, the boy’s father, died at the hands of Islamists, Lucía adopts Ismail and Andy is her romantic partner. But when Andy asks her to marry him, they come across an unexpected obstacle.
