Renata meets Pablo in a lagoon, he asks her to run away together. Mr. Bruno threatens to kill Pablo, hits him and takes Renata with him. Renata tells Mr. Bruno and Mrs. Constanza that she is expecting a son of Pablo.
Pablo learns that Fausto will ask Renata's hand and swears to prevent it by any means. Renata will not accept to marry Fausto and to prevent it confesses that she is expecting a son of a pawn.
Mr. Bruno prevents Renata from giving birth at his farm. Fausto agrees to marry Renata. Macaria registers Renata's daughter as her own.
During Renata's wedding, Mr. Bruno dies due to cardiac arrest. Fausto confesses to Macaria that he killed Pablo. Fausto is named as the universal heir of Mr. Bruno.
Fausto tells Renata the reasons why he married her. After trying to flee the hacienda, Constanza loses her sight. Lucio asks Macaria to give him the opportunity to make her fall in love.
Abigail is happy when she discovers that Mateo has returned to town. Father Francisco tries to get Renata to tell Abigail the truth about her past.
