Qu Tan’er (Liang Jie) is a young woman whose body has been taken over by a woman from modern times. This woman is stuck in a time-traveling paradigm that sees her move between time and even hop into parallel universes. She is currently in an ancient realm named Dongyue, where Qu Tan’er is the wife of the powerful Mo Lian Cheng (Xing Zhao Lin) – but must concern herself with childcare due to the patriarchal nature of the times. One day, though, a fateful event occurs and she suddenly finds herself transported to a parallel Dongyue – a place where everything is very different! Here, all of the people she once knew have different identities, and she is the niece of the ruling Empress. In this universe, women reign supreme, and men are subservient: Only women can learn to be warriors, serve as guards, train to be scholars – or rule the realm! Men, meanwhile, are totally subservient, cannot hold high office, and are expected to devote their lives to raising children.
