Alex suspects Radu Motrescu, CEO of a fertility agency, of interfering with her investigation; she finds herself on the trail of Anna Winter, a woman whose daughter went missing after dealing with Montrescu.

While at a crime scene, Alex finds a clue as to where she was held captive; she grows convinced that the victim was involved in her abduction, and finding the killer will lead to finding her baby.
