Rich and Famous

Candice Bergen and Jacqueline Bisset star as two close friends who leave college to lead very different lives on opposite coasts--only to envy each other as they both dream of being rich and famous. Liz Hamilton (Bissett) becomes a well-respected if not best-selling writer living in Manhattan. Merry Noel Blake (Bergen) gets married, moves to California and grows to envy her friend's success. When Merry writes a trashy, tell-all blockbuster that gossips about her Hollywood neighbors, the gloves come off as the two old friends compete for everything, including the same man, in this comedy about jealousy, love and ambition directed by the legendary George Cukor.
