Nina Dobrev and Tone Bell star in a new comedy about Clem (Dobrev), a woman whose vision of a perfect life with her adoring fiancé, Nick (Bell), and his wonderful family is radically altered when her 16-year-old, out-of-control half-sister, Shannon (Odessa Adlon), unexpectedly comes to live with them.

Nick's parents learn that Clem doesn't plan to invite her father to the wedding, so they encourage her to ask him over for dinner at their home; Nick tries to teach Shannon to be more responsible at home.

Clem and Nick learn that Shannon stole Walt's treasured watch, so they try to help her avoid the fate of another relative who let him down.

Desperate for some private time, Clem and Nick plan a much-needed afternoon rendezvous that's interrupted when Shannon is sent home from school for breaking the dress code.

After Clem and Nick tell Shannon she can't go to a music festival on a school night, Shannon's mother, Jolene, comes back into her life and tries to undermine them; Freddy tries to get back in Clem's good graces before the wedding.

Irritated that Clem has been invading her privacy, Shannon plays a prank on her that ends up having far-reaching ramifications.
