Miskina, Poor Thing

Fara contributes as best she can to organizing the wedding for her sister, Safia and her groom Maxime, while Rania, their grandmother, refuses to leave the kitchen and join the ceremony; Fara is ready to do whatever it takes to avoid a family drama.

Though Maxime has embraced his newfound spiritual path since the wedding, Safia is angry at her sister. Fara knows she'd better fix the damage she did if she intends to return to the family home, but this could prove a bigger task than she can face.

Things are getting serious between Nassim and Cherifa, causing Fara to grow increasingly jealous; Mariam urges her to reveal her feelings to him, but first she needs to stop by the junkyard with Damien to pick up what's left of her food truck.

Fara doesn't have the heart to join her group of friends for the France-Algeria match that evening; the event brings back memories to Najet, whom we discover as a young woman in 1975, back when she met Kader who was to be the father of her daughters.

Damien discovers Rania lying on the kitchen floor; her stay in the hospital will be the occasion to finally settle some scores; for Fara it's the moment of truth that spurs her decision to set out in search of her estranged father.

Fara and Safia are in Oran, with two days to find a replacement for Rania's traditional bread-baking dish; Fara uses this time to get to better know her Algerian family and the country, which irks Safia, who can't wait to get on the next plane back.
