Tracking the troupe from their obscure beginnings at a 1980's punk rock club in Toronto, to their discovery by legendary star-maker Lorne Michaels and through the growing pains of getting their controversial series on air.

The troupe perfects their craft over 5 seasons of their hit series; the troupe tackles a feature film, only to find that personal infighting and creative differences are destined to blow the troupe apart, for a time, at least.
