S1 E2: Anouk didn't witness the slap - she was watching something far more disturbing. She is going through a mid-life crisis, has a dependent mother, a toyboy who may or may not be serious about her, and someone wants her job. For Anouk the slap was a trivial incident blown out of proportion, but it may still have an effect on her.
