Dex Hamilton: Fire and Ice the Movie

S1 E1: Most kids dream of being cowboys, astronauts, even movie stars. All Dex Hamilton ever wanted to be was an entomologist. Not your typical hero, right? But in the year 2997, an entomologist will be the only hope the Earth has left. Young Dex Hamilton is a student at the Junior Science Academy, and he's got a killer mid-term project: a brand new species of alien insect that he discovered himself! Little does he know that it might be a little more "killer" than he bargained for. He soon realizes that his harmless-looking little bug is one of millions, and they're demolishing the planet Earth from the inside out. It's up to the young entomologist to leap to the Earth's defense. His quest takes him across the depths of space and into the vast unexplored wonders deep inside our own planet. Along the way he picks up an incredible group of friends - Jenny 10, the brilliant engineer; Zap, who is half insect and hides a dark past; and Tung, the loopy frog boy from a distant planet. They must learn to work together as they race to save the world from the relentless swarm of insects, and from the deadly conspiracy that unleashed them. And this will all turn out to be just a typical day's work for Dex Hamilton, a new breed of hero.
