Episode 1

S1 E1: Fanny Logan tells the stories of her two friends, Linda Radlett and Polly Hampton and their various pursuits of love. Linda falls in love with banker, Tony Kroesig, and defies all parental wrath and advice to marry him. Meanwhile Polly, daughter of Lord and Lady Montdore, is home from India but has no intentions of marrying the men presented to her. Linda leaves her husband for communist, Christian Talbot. Her bother Matt runs off to fight in Spain. Fanny makes a good steady marriage with Alfred Wincham while Polly announces her intention to marry her newly widowed uncle, Boy Dugdale.
