Episode 1

S1 E101: Two rich, eligible and handsome young bachelors Mr Bingley and Mr Darcy gallop into Hertfordshire, where Mr and Mrs Bennet lives with their daughters. They all meet at a local Assembly Room Ball in Meryton. Mr Bingley immediately takes a fancy to Jane, Mr Darcy and Elizabeth are too proud to enjoy themselves. Meanwhile, Lydia and Kitty Bennet are still flirting outrageously with the army officers billeted in Meryton. A new recruit, George Wickham, delights everyone with his charm, good looks and gentlemanly behaviour – especially Lizzie.
