Episode 2

S1 E2: With Sam's behaviour becoming more erratic, Tom needs to look elsewhere for answers. Clinging onto the name Metzler he starts looking into library and newspaper archives about him. Discovering that he is now the town councillor, he also finds that he was a doctor at a notorious mental hospital many years ago that shut in controversial circumstances. After a failed attempt to get information from his father's old secretary, more drastic measures are needed. In a bid to refresh Sam's memory, Tom takes him to an annual charity event held for the Lancashire Evening News, where his father previously worked, to bring him face to face with Metzler. But when Sam's condition leaves him hiding, cowering in a toilet cubicle it looks like Tom's search for answers will be a fruitless one... that is until an anonymous letter arrives revealing a dark secret from the past.
