S3 E8: In the final episode of the current series, Alan and the team transform a garden in Cumbria. Until her death in January 2013, Alice Pyne fought Hodgkin's disease for over five years. Determined to live her life to the full, she drew up a list of ambitions that she wanted to achieve and her story captured the public's imagination worldwide. Top of her list was getting more people to sign up to the bone marrow register. Alice's parents Vicky and Simon show Alan how their garden has been neglected. An awkwardly shaped plot, it slopes down to a stream and has areas of very damp shade as well sunny corners. Alan's idea is to create a rock garden and although they have fallen out of fashion, he thinks they are due for a revival. David Domoney gets to work and the plot is soon ready for 600 Alpines and rock species. Frances Tophill plants an area with Alice's favourite colours, and Katie Rushworth designs a space that will be a refuge for Alice's 14-year-old sister Milly.
