Episode 3

S1 E3: When a rape and murder case goes to trial, DCI Gill Murray is determined to see the defendant, Georgios Stelikos, convicted. But the case is complicated and only one woman, Hannah, is prepared to come forward and testify that she was raped by Stelikos. When Rachel gives evidence, she is horrified to find that her ex Nick is the defending barrister - and his cross examination shakes her to the core. A stunned Rachel admits to Janet that she had talked to Nick about the case. Janet is horrified - especially when Nick's defence leads to Stelikos being acquitted. A traumatised Hannah loses control and makes public death threats against Stelikos. When he is later found murdered, she is the prime suspect. Can Janet prevent the case from ending in further tragedy? Meanwhile, Nick is appalled to discover that Rachel decided to keep the baby. There is more heartbreak in store for Rachel, but luckily Janet is on hand to help when Rachel's life begins to crumble around her.
